When you get your Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or BSN, degree in Kentucky, you are signing up for a fulfilling and stable career. You can look forward to an average salary of $57,520 as a registered nurse (RN) in this state. In spite of the good salary and job prospects, Kentucky is facing a serious nurse shortage. The state will need to add at least 16,000 nurses to its current workforce over the next ten years to keep up with demand.
It’s wonderful to live in Kentucky. The state’s vibrant culture includes bluegrass music, local whiskey distilleries, and much more. In your spare time, you can visit landmarks such as the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green and the Mammoth Cave National Park in Edmonson County. With so many recreational opportunities at your disposal, you’ll never be bored in the bluegrass state.
Kentucky’s nursing shortage is projected to end in 2024. In the meantime, there will be a ton of jobs that need to be filled. You’d be smart to get your BSN degree as soon as possible to take advantage of these job openings.
The Best BSN Programs in Kentucky
Kentucky is host to several reputable and approved BSN programs. However, due to a shortage of nurse educators, not every qualified student is accepted into a program. If you want to get into one of these programs, take your applications seriously.
